This is when a good quality bow will make a big difference because it is a powerful tool capable of making minute and delicate modification and adjustment in tone colour.
Moreover, a good bow should not only be sensitive enough to allow a player to execute their different controls but also can compliment an instrument and produce specific characters and tone colour as needed. It is no wonder that professional musicians often hold more than one bow for different performances and pieces.
